How these rankings are made

Every tier list on this site follows the same rules. They are written down here so you can hold the page to them.

What a ranking means

A character's tier is about how much they raise a team's ceiling, not their damage in isolation. A support who makes three other characters better outranks a damage dealer who works alone. This is why four-stars appear above five-stars, and why a strong new release does not automatically enter the top tier.

Ranked without duplicates

Everything is placed at zero duplicate copies with a four-star weapon. Where a character genuinely needs a duplicate or a signature weapon, the entry says so rather than quietly ranking a version you do not own.

Changes are recorded, not quietly edited

Each list is re-cut at the start of a patch and published as a revision. The what changed block on every tier list is computed from the two most recent revisions rather than typed by hand, so it cannot disagree with the ladder underneath it. Nothing moves silently.

Sponsors do not affect rankings

Sponsor placements on this site are hand-sold: one image, one link, no ad network and no third-party script. No sponsor has ever been shown a tier list before it was published, and no ranking has been changed at anyone's request. If that ever changes, this paragraph changes with it.

Corrections

If something here is wrong, it is wrong — say so and it gets fixed and recorded as a revision like anything else.
