What this section covers

Runner rankings, echo sets, rotation fundamentals and banner planning for Rift Runners.

This game rewards execution more than either of the others we cover. The gap between a well-played mid-tier team and a badly played top-tier one is larger here than anywhere else, which is why every entry below talks about how forgiving a character is and not only about their numbers.

The banner is different, and simpler

Rift Runners has no off-banner five-star. There is one flat rate, a guarantee at 80, and the only five-star the banner can give you is the featured one. No coin flip, no losing to someone you did not want. That makes planning unusually honest — see the pull planner, which is configured with this game's actual model rather than a generic one.

How to read the rankings

Rankings assume you can swap-cancel and parry consistently. A character who is forgiving is worth more than their damage suggests, and a character who is not is worth less. Where that gap is large we say so in the entry, because "strongest on paper" and "strongest in your hands" are different questions and only one of them is useful.

What gets updated

The list is re-cut each patch, and the change history records every movement. Codes and the banner archive are checked far more often than the rankings are.
