Relic farming without burning out
The stopping rule most guides never give you, and why the four-star piece in your bag is probably fine.
Main stat first, and it is not close
A relic's main stat is worth several times its substats. A five-star Crown with the wrong main stat is worse than a four-star with the right one, every time, and no amount of rolling fixes it.
Work down this list before you look at a single substat:
- Chronometer, Chalice and Crown main stats correct for the character.
- Set bonus — two-piece plus two-piece is fine, and is where most accounts should stop.
- Critical rate somewhere near 60% with weapon and passives included.
- Everything else.
The stopping rule
Farm a domain until you have a complete set of correct main stats, then leave. The expected improvement from continuing is small, arrives slowly, and costs the stamina you would otherwise spend levelling a second character — which is a far larger gain for the same time.
Why the ratio matters more than the total
Critical rate and critical damage want to sit near 1:2. An account at 80% rate and 120% damage does less than one at 60% and 160%, despite looking better on paper. Check the ratio before farming for more of either.
The reliquary is not a consolation prize
Converting unwanted sets in the reliquary produces relics at the same rates as the domain does. If you are sitting on three hundred unused pieces, that is several free runs you have not taken.
