Reading the endgame rotations before they cost you
Each mode rewards a different shape of team. Knowing which one is live saves a wasted build.
The three modes want three different things
| Mode | Rewards | Build toward |
|---|---|---|
| Ninefold Trial | Single-target burst inside a cycle limit | One carry, two buffers, one sustain |
| Endless Chorus | Area damage and repeated waves | Arcanists, and anything that hits several targets |
| Silent Vault | Survival across long fights | A real Warden or Mender, not a token one |
Why this matters more than the tier list
A character ranked A who fits the live rotation clears faster than an S who does not. The rankings on this site are an average across all three modes; the rotation in front of you is not an average.
The practical routine
Check the event timeline at the start of each cycle. It says which rotation is live and what it rewards. Two minutes there saves a week of building the wrong unit.
Every mode is beatable with the characters you already own. Almost none of them are beatable with the build you already have, if it was made for a different mode.
